Lakeside Topco Limited

Lakside is a fully operational 41.6 MWe (net) / circa 266,000 tonnes per annum waste wood biomass plant located in the Port of Tilbury, approximately 25 miles east of London.

Equitix acquired the project in July 2021 investing alongside the listed industrial conglomerate Altri SGPS S.A. (“Altri”) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Greenvolt Energias Renováveis, S.A. (“Greenvolt”), a Portuguese Biomass specialist. Equitix owns 49% of the shareholding and Greenvolt the remainder. The plant is operated and maintained under a fixed price agreement with a JV entity that is between the Plant’s Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) contractors BSWC and AET, who both have extensive experience in the biomass sector.
